Program Overview
The goal of the Pottawatomie County Drug Court is to stop drug abuse and related criminal activity by using Court supervised treatment that offers offenders a compelling alternative to the criminal behavior that stems from drug use. Upon successful completion of the Drug Court Program, the offender will receive a dismissal or reduction of the original charge. If a participant chooses not to abide by the rules of the program, they will be sentenced to the Department of Corrections for a period determined prior to their entrance into the program. Compliance with the program is completely within the participant's control through clear choices and immediate consequences.
